Become a member and come along to our club open evenings and taster sessions, to enjoy some paddling fun on the River Stour. No experience is required and we supply all the equipment you need with experience and friendly coaches on hand.

Come along to Grove Ferry Picnic site, and enjoy a nice late afternoon paddle and muck about on Wednesday evenings. Everyone is welcome, with all equipment supplied and coaches on hand to assist whether you’re brand new to canoeing or want to perfect your skills. A wide range of activities will be available from touring to games, to suit every one.
There are plenty of opportunities to progress your paddling through the courses we offer, including
Paddle Power for the children (aged 9 upwards), which is an exciting scheme that has been designed to meet the needs of young people with Its colourful and youth centred approach. For Adults we run the BCU Star Awards starting with the 1 Star Award, an introductory course aimed at developing a basic paddling skill set to become competent on the water.

Want to have a go at paddling? Every Saturday morning at Grove Ferry taster sessions are running, providing you the chance to have a go in either a canoe or kayak in a light hearted fun, instructor lead session. The session consists of basic skills needed to help keep you in control on the water, taught through a series of games and challenges to make sure you get the most from your session.
Our experienced coaches will guide you through the basics of the paddling world, to develop your skill base and knowledge to give you the confidence on the water in a fun and safe environment. All within the beautiful nature reserve of Stodmarsh abundant with wild life, there is a children’s play park next to our launch point. If you want to make the most of the area there is a cool campsite just a short stroll away.
